Is Blackrock essentially making an offline BRC20 with their Bitcoin EFT project?

Yes, no and maybe. You might consider an ETF as a security token but it hangs off an old school database probably called Oracle, not a new-school database called a blockchain then its in a different species. Blockchain tech coupled with encryption makes for a novel ball of wax which is still neither explored or understood that much. So the simple answer is no, an apple is not an orange, even if they are both fruit. Yes BRC20s and Stocks are both financial instruments, but while sea-snakes and eels look very similar and are both animals, the practical difference is significant. Is it a good thing? Well it could well be interesting to have Darth Vader open a bar in your town.

I saw your ordinals portfolio and you deployed a bunch of good tickers and minted full supply. Do you see Brc20 utility developing, eg to fractionalize ownership of inscription 8041535 and other on-chain and off chain assets?

While NFT’s of a certain kind like the Goose that just sold for $6m have no intrinsic use case, generally tokens and blockchains need a use case. My ordinals do for example. I have minted 100 extremely lucky Chinese numbers and 100 white magic Wiccan spell words. So if you want your wallet to have great good fortune I’ll sell you 5590 BRC20, meaning a new dawn with good luck, for $10 plus the transfer fee. After all there are on 21,000,000 of them! Likewise if you want the earth mother to bless your chickens with much egg laying I can sell you some Wiccan magic for your bitcoin wallet. Its white wizardry and numerological luck that is the use case. Dont you want your Bitcoin wallet to be lucky??? Come on of course you do! If I can find other use cases Ill mint them too. This is what is so wonderful with Crypto, its a challenge and facilitator of creativity.

Your thoughts on recursive inscriptions?

In the kingdom of the blind the one eyed man is king. One of the darksides of Crypto is the huge fetid oceans of BS and hucksters that pollute the environment. You have to hate that. With that in mind I have to say ‘recursive inscriptions’ are a great development and I’m sure someone will come up with a great use-case beyond ugliness and trolling for them and if they do >>BOOM<< great value will be created and wealth will gush forth.

The thing about ordinals and Crypto in general is its a media where kids can dive in and invent something that spreads like wild fire though society. Corporates are terrible at that. So AI for example could well be sniffled by government because only corporate can build technology that big and government can jumo in and reserve that power to themselves and no bunch of teen Bill Gates or scrappy Buterins will be able to sneak in and whip up something incredible. Crypto has that accessibility so has plenty opportunity for things like Ordinals and various other inventions to come up with unimaginable things and that is where huge opportunity lies.
