Most BRC-20 four letter english acronyms or names have already been deployed on the Bitcoin ordinals protocol.
Isabel Foxen Duke discovered that the ticker $ISBL which perfectly matches her first name, has already been deployed by someone & she made the following humorous tweet about it.
We theorize that many individuals, businesses, organisation’s and even countries will want to own the Bcr20 ticker that matches their name and the full token supply because we think BRC-20 will have greater utility beyond speculation.
For example Barcelona FC may want to secure $B.FC #BRC20 for token gating of its fans, rewards systems, merch sales, discounts, vip access or even decentralized voting.

You are the former comms lady for ordinals founder, Casey. How did you land the role and what was your experience with it and how does Casey feel about #BRC20?
I wrote the original press release for Ordinals for Casey as a friend – and when things went well, Casey hired me to help the core team with Comms. I can’t comment on his opinion or BRC-20s.
How did you feel when you found out that #BRC20 ticker $ISBL has already been deployed?
I mostly just think the ISBL ticker is hilarious – and on the off chance it was an intentional reference to me, I would feel very flattered.
Do you think businesses, organisations and even countries will want their own BRC-20 tickers and full token supply, to use them for token gating, decentralized voting, reward systems etc?
I think the usecase of BRCs as utility tokens (or alternatives to traditional equities) for businesses is yet to play out. I’m skeptical but open minded pending regulation etc. If it does happen to play out – which I think is a long shot – then perhaps these tickers would be valuable to businesses, etc.
