Inscription #640000

I love Inscription #640000 in your collection. Do you think Dorian Nakamoto is the real Satoshi, the mysterious founder of Bitcoin?

No. But we think people see his face and associate it with Satoshi via memes and an expectation of what Satoshi would look like. He looks like a sharp guy!

What do you think Satoshi would say about ordinals?

We think he would love them. As ordinals arise in the post-Satoshi era, they represent powerful FOSS developments of Bitcoin after his departure. They also create new sources of demand for Bitcoin, and provide value to individual satoshis that he likely never imagined they could have. Ordinals can attract millions of new users to Bitcoin and we think Satoshi would maintain objectivity in his assessment of them, thereby supporting their issuance & circulation.

Some of the quotes in your collection are persimistic of Bitcoin. What do you have to say to those who dismiss Bitcoin as a fad?

We think people who continue to dismiss Bitcoin after the decade plus of its existence are either stubborn or ignorant. Many of the pessimistic quotes we included in the collection come from those entrenched in finance, or politicians bought by financial interests. They stand to lose their status or power if the people of the planet move towards Bitcoin. In many cases their skepticism or disdain is to be expected, but that doesn’t mean they’re not disingenuous clowns.

For the common person who says Bitcoin is a fad, it’s mostly a lack of education on what Bitcoin is and how it combats the fraud of modern financial systems. So that element can be solved through education…which hopefully they’ll pursue someday.

We would surmise that most everyday people who dismiss Bitcoin as a fad live in developed western nations. Few people in despotic or hyper-inflated countries dismiss Bitcoin as fad; instead they view it as a potential reprieve.
