BitScapes Season 1 sold out and BitScapes Season 2 is minting now on Gamma.io
We caught up once again with the creator of Bitscapes and he had quite a few things to say about BitScapes Season 2.
What inspired BitScapes Season 2?
BitScapes season 2 was inspired by the demand for more BitScapes. The original season 1 collection of banners consisted of 96 banners which were dispersed into the hands of 25 unique holders. With the ordinals space growing exponentially, there are surely more than 25 ordinals enthusiast who could use an ordinals banner. The intention of season 2 was to not simply dilute the supply of BitScapes. Season 2 is a Memento of appreciation for Bitcoin to be inscribed on the blockchain forever. A special Bitcoin mural is created when conjoining all 154 season 2 BitScapes together as a collage. To execute this vision to lots of strategic planning and effort. The final product is something the team of BitScapes is very proud of. We are hoping the Bitcoin and Ordinals community can appreciate this meaningful release.
How successful was Season 1 and how much did you raise for the school children and how are they using the funds?

Season 1 was successful in the sense the original collection sold out and holders are happy to own their beautiful works of art. BitScapes team still holds ~7 season 1 BitScapes in our vault that we plan to hold for years to come , gift to special holders or Bitcoin/Ordinals community members, giveaways or any other potential opportunities/ideas that may arise . In order to release season 1, our team had to inscribe each BitScape ourselves during a high peak of inscription demand and busy block space. It was an expensive process but our passion made it worth it. A few thousand dollars were raised and used to purchase physical education equipment for a low income school. Season 2 “ A Bitcoin Memento” is being released through a different method on Gamma.io
With this method potential holders pay a small inscription fee and receive a random BitScape from season 2. This is more cost effective for BitScapes and would allow us to continue to pursue our dreams of dedicating our time, efforts and passions to all the ideas we have for BitScapes. Included in season 2 collection are 21 of the Bitcoin memento collage banners. These can be seen as a special limited edition banner of season 2. But, each individual banner that makes up the collage are all very special themselves. Each banner just like season 1 were created individually and the collection as a whole was curated after many thoughtful days of consideration. We want to present to the community, each banner a 1 of 1, beautiful works of art, that make up a special Bitcoin collage. We hope you appreciate the effort behind the presentation and project.
Will there be a Bitscapes Season 3?
If BitScapes can continue to be supported by the Ordinals community, we would like to continue to learn and grow and make season 3 even more special. We dedicated our daily lives to Bitcoin and learning. We are thoughtful creators who want to grow with the community and provide value ,innovations and artistic touch to Ordinals. We still have plans to build around the original season 1 collection, plans for season 2, plans to reward/ show appreciation to holders and plans to show that BitScapes is a legitimate Ordinals collection and a positive member of the Bitcoin community.
