You have a long list of grail #satsnames and some of my favorite in your collection are scoop.sats and SpongeBob.sats. Are you a fan of spongebob and are you into character satsnames?

First off I want to thank you for this opportunity! I’ve really enjoyed reading your blog and specifically the interview with
Unisat Wallet.

When I first went hunting for available names I started off looking for 3-5 character words. Most of the ‘good’ ones seemed to be taken, like buy.sats & apple.sats so I started thinking about words that would be funny or interesting if they preceded the word ‘sats’ because I think that’s how our minds read the names, at least that’s how I read them, I don’t say “scoop dot sats”. I was thinking about memes.

Memes are like currency all on their own, I think Joe Looney said that. Spongebob memes are everywhere you look! Alpha hint: when I was looking a couple days ago there were tons of character and meme related sats names available.

You don’t do OTC trades but prefer trustless marketplaces. What are your favorite ordinals market platforms and why?

I don’t want to deal with scammers. Figured announcing ahead of time that OTC is off the table (counter?) maybe they wouldn’t bother. I’ve done plenty of OTC NFT trades, but only with people I trust and have known for a long time, although at a certain threshold these things have to happen trustlessly. I wouldn’t do an OTC cryptopunk deal with me own mum.

I really like ordswap! Their built in metamask wallet (I hear) is a little more secure than the browser wallets. So far I’ve bought, sold, and inscribed using gamma, ordinalswallet, unisat, and ordswap.

I’ve also bid on some pieces up for auction over at scarce city. Scarce city has a new site up just for ordinals called ordcity I think!

When did you get into ordinals and what was the first #satsnames you minted?

So late! Based on my DMs it looks like Feb. 22. I had seen enough interesting things come across my feed as far as art and satsnames and alarms started going off in my head that I was passing on something really amazing.

I started DMing frens across the NFT and XCP worlds and talking with them about how to mint, which wallets to use, sharing links, I read the ordinal theory docs, and then…the thing that sold me was watching that youtube vid of Casey Rodarmor’s little hackathon where he’s handing out paper wallets with 10k sats and explaining to the
guys there how it all works. The first sats name I inscribed was derage.sats, I’m a
@darkfarms1 disciple and I think I’ll send it to them. (send me ur addy fren)

Some of your satsnames are very descriptive words like losing.sats part.sats melt.sats etc How do you come up with #satsnames ideas?

I sort of addressed this above, I really like the idea of how we say the address, think steal sats, mine sats…a lot of my thinking goes back to what I saw happening on ENS, and the names I wanted there. Some short phrases will probably do well too like sendme.sats or betmore.sats.

Do you think #satsnames will be bigger than ENS and others?

I hope so! One of the things I hate about ENS and other naming services is the yearly renewal, is it yours, or are you renting that nice name you’ve got there? Sats names has insane potential. I hope to be one of the first all seeing eye twitter accounts to send/recieve using .sats addys.

Lets talk about your pfp on Twitter. Is it an ordinal or is it about the “all seeing eye of the illuminati” I own theilluminati.sats by the way?

It is an ordinal! I’m more of a 1/1 art collector than pfp when it comes to NFTs, and so I wasn’t too interested in the early hyped collections but desperately wanted to get my hands on some ordinals with good aesthetics.

So I started hunting the Market tab on ordswap to find pieces that were not in a listed collection, that seemed original enough, and were priced right.

I found inscription 234892 and a matching one (I assume from the same artist) 247947. It fits my account perfectly because I am a servant of kek, praise pepe! and I focus on finding all things ordinal with this account.

When you are not minting #satsnames what else do you do for fun?

I like to paint, not very well. I also love collecting XCP cards and tons of art on other chains like ETH, XTZ, and MONAPARTY. #satsnames MAXIMALISM LFG
