Exclusive Interview with #Ordinals #Satsnames Collector 00420.sats

By Pepe The Expert

  1. You are a #satsnames ordinal 5 digit whale and your portfolio is stacked with grails. When did you discover ordinals and particularly #satsnames and why are you super bullish on 5 digit satsnames?

I discovered .sats names while hearing about Ordinals on Crypto Twitter. I was fascinated by the movement. After taking a deep dive I discovered the Twitter handle @sats_names
which is responsible for the launch of .sats names. There was only a few hundred followers at the time.

There will only be 100,000 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 digit .sats names on the Bitcoin blockchain forever. It’s an exclusive club.

Ordinals Mansion is minting now on Ordinalsbot

I was very early however 1,2,3 and 4 digit .sats names were already minted.

Currently there are over 44,000,000 Bitcoin wallets with a non zero balance. This means 1 person out of 159 people globally own a Bitcoin wallet with a non zero balance.

Naming services across countless blockchains have evolved however this is a truly historic event for the world’s first cryptocurrency Bitcoin.

As time progresses Bitcoin and Web 3 will significantly change how the world works and lives when its evolution takes centre stage.

  1. What do you think makes #satsnames rare? Is it the first to mint, the popularity of a name or is it one big FOMO?

All factors definitely play a role. There are however 3 layers that can contribute to a .sats name rarity.

Firstly, a low inscription number. Secondly, the timestamp of the mined sat that the inscription was minted on and lastly the rarity of a name.

3. Being the first to mint a #satsname is an awesome feeling and once you try it, you want more. What was your first #satsnames mints and how do you feel about being first to mint?

My first mint was 00042.sats on a rare sat mined in 2009. It’s like winning the lottery. Being first was an incredible feeling knowing that I own an rare asset on the Bitcoin blockchain.

  1. On other naming services like ICANN or ENS there is always a TLD owner who sells slds with annual renewal fees but with #satsnames no one cares about the tld and no one controls the slds being minted because first is first. Plus zero renewal fees
Do you see this as a new frontier ?

Most definitely. There are instances on ENS where owners lost their .eth names forever because renewal fees were not paid.

  1. Do you see #satsnames having utility besides being the most awesome ordinals collectibles? Do you think we will see email integrations, etc with satsnames?

Anything is possible. The sky is the limit. It will be very interesting to see what comes to fruition.

  1. How do you see ordinals changing the Bitcoin network? Do you think it will be good for Bitcoin or is it just a fad or a movement?

It will be good for Bitcoin because it brings so much more utility to the blockchain instead of Bitcoin just being a store of value.

  1. Ok, when you are not minting #satsnames what else do you do for fun?

Travelling and collecting cars.
