Yulia Kurchanova’s artwork is captivating and its allure was sufficient to make me want to know more about the artist.

I reached out to her Twitter account and so began our immersive back and forth correspondence that has finally culminated in this exclusive and exciting interview.

Question: As a Russian artist how do you feel about the current conflict events? Do you think people should hate all Russians and ban Russian art?
Answer: I don’t know much about politics, and I didn’t like history at all when I was in school.
I treat what is happening as a battle between politicians, where everyone has their own interests.
I think that any, even the largest relationships, need to be worked on.
These relationships should be ideal and reverent, as between husband and wife. We live in the 21st century where politicians / people should be able to communicate, hear each other, understand, compromise, negotiate and be friends.
I have many friends from different parts of the world and we communicate amazingly. Art is out of politics.

Question: How do you say I CHOOSE LOVE in Russian?
Answer:
Я ВЫБИРАЮ ЛЮБОВЬ!

Question: What inspires your realism artwork?
Answer: My portfolio work is not NFT as I draw it exactly from Pinterest photos.
I am inspired by my desire to learn something new. I get inspired when I do something difficult, this is how I see development and growth in what I love.
When I create an NFT, I am completely inspired by my fictional images, which I initially draw on paper.
Feelings, music and strange situations also inspire me.

Question: Your Rarible profile mentions that you are an aqua grimer. Can you please explain what that entails for the uninitiated?
Answer: I am a makeup artist and stylist by profession. I masterfully emphasize the natural beauty of a woman’s face with makeup and create an iconic look for any event.
I am also a face painter at themed parties for children and adults.
Face painting is a bright decorative pattern applied with hypoallergenic paints to the surface of the skin, which are easily washed off with soap and water after a temporary period of wear.
A bright decorative pattern on the face realistically complements the ready-made stylish image of the guest of the event, sets him a high level of excellent mood, and attracts the attention of others to himself. It always looks amazing in commemorative photos of the event.

Question : Your realism illustrations evoke powerful emotions. Why don’t you mint them as NFTs?
Answer: 5 months ago I made my dream come true and started learning how to create digital illustrations at the Academy of Contemporary Art. At the moment, I continue to work on creating my attractive portfolio and improve the quality and self-improvement in this matter.
I was captivated by the possibilities of digital art and NFT. I have grandiose creative plans, everything is ahead!!! Need time!))

Question: When and how did you get into NFTS?
Answer: After taking my first course in digital illustration, I became interested in an advanced course, also a course in NFT.
about 2.5 months ago I started doing NFT and developing a personal twitter blog.
It was exciting for me to speak English, but in two days I overcame my fear of public speaking in the audio rooms on Twitter and realized that the NFT community is very friendly, positive and kind. This atmosphere is very important for any creator!!!
Here are the most sympathetic, mutual, grateful people!
Quite quickly my blog grew to 1200 subscribers.

Question: Do you have any message you want to share with the people of the world?
Answer: My NFT “Cosmic nature”
When I was a teenager, I dreamed of changing the world.
I was told that “the WORLD cannot be changed.” You can only change YOURSELF!
Art brings LIGHT to the world, and I want to shed it on the most important topic of our future.
The world starts with yourself.
Share the warm light emanating from your beautiful soul with other people, inspire for pleasant changes.
You yourself will begin to bloom like a Garden of Eden.
Take care of family values, love, be in harmony with nature.
Ultimately, it will remain after us.
