By Web3ArtBlog.NFT

Her posts on Twitter are never boring. I dare anyone to find a boring tweet on Sandy Carter’s feed!

She is always encouraging, educating and engaging the #Udfam #Web3community with an unmatched style of intelligent and humorous tweets. She even shares IRL glimpses of her private life from time to time.

She is real, unpretentious and super tech savvy with a rich and diverse business background and experience.

To me, she is the Web3 Matriach and I even gifted her the Nft Domain WEB3MATRIARCH.NFT not so long ago.

Why? Because besides beign the Unstoppable Leading Lady of Web3, she is extremely passionate about getting more women into Web3.

She is the reason why I always seek to interview more women in Web3 in order to spotlight and highlight their amazing contributions.

I asked her for an interview and despite her busy schedule, traveling to Abu Dhabi for business, she agreed.

Ladies and gentlemen I am truly honored and excited to present to you Sandy Carter, the SVP of Unstoppabledomains and leading lady of Web3.

Sandy.nft The Energizer Bunny

Question:When did you realize you needed to make the full throttle jump into Web3 and how did you get started?

I like to keep my thumb on the pulse of new tech developments. It’s so much fun since there is always something new and exciting, but seeing new tech that represents a radical shift is more rare. I’ve actually been into the metaverse space for a little while, but when I saw the possibilities that opened up by shifting to a decentralized, Web3 model, I knew that this was one of those revolutionary technologies.

Question: Energizer Bunny is one of your Web3 titles (You should totally get EnergizerBunny.nft) What role does motivation play in your goal to inboard many people and especially women into web3?

I’ll have to look into that one! It’s easy to stay energized when you are working on things that you are truly passionate about. With my background in the tech space, I’ve long been an advocate for making sure women can see themselves being successful in it. Transitioning over to Web3, I saw an opportunity to make that equal representation part of the space from the start, and that’s why I launched the Unstoppable Women of Web3 initiative. We focus on providing education, networking, and active help for people looking to get into Web3.

Her Lazy Lion NFT

Question: When and how did you make the foray into NFTs because I have seen that you own a Lazy Lion and other NFTs . Can you talk about your NFT collection?

I got into nfts about a year ago. Since I was already a fan of the metaverse, it wasn’t a huge leap for me to see the appeal in collecting digital items. My collection is really just for fun and for the amazing communities it connects you too. I have a few Lazy Lions, BFFs, Surge, Fame Ladies and of course lots of Unstoppable Domains!

Question: You are also a best selling author. Please tell us more about your authorship and where can people find your books?

Yes. I started with a best selling book on Service Oriented Architecture! I am considered the godmother of this technology with patents in it! The book was translated into 9 languages. I love to write and followed that up with books on Marketing, Creation of a New Category, and even social media. I’m working on a fiction book right now with NFTs in the storyline! Wish me luck!

Question: How do you balance pragmatism and imagination in your work? I ask this because I know many imaginative and creative people who lack on the pragmatic side and vise versa, but you seem to be firing both pistons.

I’d say this comes from my deep experience working on the business side of tech. You need creative people who are able to see where all these new developments can go, but it’s your job to figure out what can actually be done today to bring value to your business partners.

Question: Would you describe yourself an adventurous pioneer kind of person or are you content with the established order ? Do you get a thrill from charting into the digital wild west?

You don’t get a nickname like the Energizer Bunny by staying at home! I’m actually responding to these questions now from Abu Dhabi as part of a group of women in Web3 to do exactly that – charting new paths in the digital wild west!

Energizer Bunny Going on a business trip

Question: On OpenSea your account is listed as Pink Mamba. I grew up in Africa and I’ve seen some pretty cunning snakes and a mamba is no play thing. It can do serious damage if you mess around. Is that a synonymous with Sandy as a pragmatist and strategist?

The only things I do serious damage to are business challenges! I thrive on executing large visions. And anyone who knows me, knows that I love all things Pink!

Question: Talking about another woman making strides in Web3, Madonna minted her vagina on the blockchain with her collaborative Nft project with Beeple. It was the first time I’ve seen a vagina chewing with grass and giving birth to giant trees and robot bugs. Wild staff! What is your take on that nft colkection?

Wild is the right word. Sometimes art is about pushing boundaries, experimenting, and starting conversations. In that sense, I’d say it’s been a successful collection, since we’re here talking about it.

Question: Can you talk about NFT domains, their invention and utility to the uninitiated?

NFT domains are one of the transformational technologies of Web3 and the reason why I finally made the jump from Web2. In Web2, you don’t own your information or usernames online. You’re actually borrowing the name and giving away your data. NFT domains and Web3 offer a radical new alternative where you can own your name and decide who gets to see what data.

NFT domains are the foundation of that and are essentially addresses minted to the blockchain. Once you mint it, it’s yours forever. Since it’s stored on the blockchain, you can use it across a variety of Web3 dapps. Think of it like a single user-name and login that works across all of Web3.

Question: How do you see Web3 evolving say 10 years from now? Do you see decentralization and data ownership remaining as a core pillar or will the Big Data capitalism of today own it and centralize their market power once again.

10 years from now, Web3 will be a part of everyone’s daily lives, whether they know it or not. It will be the force running behind the scenes, powering everything from commerce to communication. There will always be degrees of decentralization depending on the applications, but a decentralized network is still the foundation.

Question: How important is Data ownership to you personally? I ask because I saw a video of you on YouTube talking about how you could not access some of your medical data and you were clearly not happy about that.

Don’t you think it’s wild that third parties have more data about us than we do ourselves? As our world becomes more and more digital, it’s so important that people are able to own their own data and decide what to do with it. I think web3 is all about the data and giving that data back to its rightful owners.
