From an artistic perspective I am willing to argue that many underpriced NFT collections today are much more artistically interesting than a Bored Ape or Mutant Ape.

Several examples are the Van’s Discovers AI by VansCmkro.NFT, works by Nanamarieartsy, Amazing Leeloo’s by Emma Jane and Metro cards Nft works by KNIFE.NFT and many other extremely talented artists that are currently under the radar.

Their long term artistic value will outshine any Bored Ape or Mutant Ape. Allow me to argue my case.

There can be no doubt about the current “speculative” value of a Bored Ape or Mutant Ape.

But two questions remain, What is the “artistic” draw of a Bored Ape or Mutant Ape? Are people drawn to that collection owing to its artistry or merely the “financial speculation incentive”?

Unless you have deep pockets or minted early into the BAYC, MAYC ecosystem, the Bored Ape and Mutant Ape NFT collection is out of reach of many.

It has become a plaything for the Paris Hiltons of NFTs. But is she drawn to the artistry of a Bored Ape or its speculative value?
